Dreamforce Murals

This week is a huge conference in San Francisco- It is called Dreamforce and it is put on by Salesforce. Salesforce takes over the Moscone Convention Center and Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco. It is a huge deal, I was walking by the area last weekend as they were setting things up and saw these murals on the Moscone Center:

And I saw a couple other murals around the area that are there year around:

It was cool to see the Dreamforce murals as I usually stay away from the area this time of year.

A Visit to Old St Mary's Cathedral

Old St. Mary's Cathedral is located in Chinatown. It has been part of San Francisco since 1854. In 1891, it went from a cathedral to a regular parish church, but it retained the same name.  It survived the 1906 earthquake but inside was gutted by the fires from the earthquake. The church was renovated in 1907. It is still a working parish:

The inside is amazing:

But what what is totally amazing about the church is the stained glass throughout the church:

Old St. Mary's is a true San Francisco treasure and I hope it stays that way for many more years.

Music Monday: Random 80's Songs

For this Music Monday, we are just going random 80's. The 80's is the music that I grew up with and still love:

Hope everyone has a great week.

A Visit to the Idaho Candy Company

When I was in Boise, I visited the Idaho Candy Company. The company has been housed in the same building for 125 years and it is still in business today at the same location:

And it still makes the same candies it did 125 years ago:

It was really cool to visit the Idaho Candy Company and learn the history of it.

The Work of Utagawa Hiroshige

Utagawa Hiroshige was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist and is considered the last great master of the tradition. I was able to see his work at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco:

It was so cool to see this and I love Hiroshige's work.

Just Taking a Walk Along the Waterfront

I took a stroll on the San Francisco waterfront on a beautiful sunny day and tried to work on my artistic photography:

I took a break at McCovey Cove which houses the Willie McCovey statue which is outside of Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants:

I went around Oracle Park and continued my walk:

Lefty O'Doul Bridge

It was a beautiful walk and something that I needed to do.
