Once a month on a Thursday during the summer months, the City of Hayward closes the main drag and hosts a Downtown Street Party. They have something for everybody. Just a nice way to enjoy a summer evening:

My how fun this all looks, they have what they call First Friday each month in Vegas similar to this, so many things to eat and see, lots of people to watch!!

We usually have the Windmill Festival with a carnival at the end of the summer , but I must admit it's tons of fun. thanks for sharing.

DeleteKnoxville has street parties sometimes, too. We went to one long ago. It was at night, so I didn't care for it too much. Each spring, we host the Dogwood Arts Festival and that's kind like a block party ~ food, entertainment, crafts & arts, ... It's really nice. Thanks for stopping by & for sharing your fun with us!
