Growing up in the Bay Area and living here most of my life, I had never ventured to Livermore. It was one of the few places that I had really never been. But, I was able to spend a whole day there recently in the Downtown area and though it was a nice place to spend some time:
A place to beat the heat |
Another fountain |
Loved this clock Downtown |
One of the little plaza's |
People enjoying |
Inside one of the little shops |
This building was built in 1875 and was the Town Hall, jail and firehouse from 1905 to 1957 |
Got to love it |
Downtown might have gone upscale but the seedy Donut-Wheel is still there-Great Donuts |
Too Funny |
Lawrence Nuclear Lab is located in Livermore |
This was cool |

DeleteI'm always totally intrigued by your photos. Why on earth do they cal it Livermore I wonder? I love the building that they had all the towns municipal functions in. Do children ride that horse or is it just a statute? It's awesome. Man, I'd be like a kid in a candy store in that town. It's truly awesome. I bet you have a lot of scrapbooks don't you? Thank you so very much for sharing my friend. Another very fine informative Post.
ReplyDeleteAfter Robert Livermore. He was the second non-native American to settle the area. It was from a land-grant from Mission San Jose.
