Walking Through the Ferry Building
I have shown many pics of the San Francisco Ferry Building from the outside but I have never shown the inside. The inside has many shops and dining. Most of which caters to finer tastes in life. It is also a ferry terminal for ferries that crisscross the Bay. It was opened in 1898. One cool thing about it is that it survived both the 1906 and 1989 earthquakes:
Plus it has great views:
The Ferry Building is a great San Francisco treasure.
Those views are lovely.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great place. I have been to San Francisco, but never to the Ferry Building . The picture of those oysters on the half shell make me hungry!
ReplyDeleteWow, you're just a bundle of information aren't you? This is too too cool, and surviving both earthquakes is even more so. Those are beautiful pictures too Pat.. thanks for sharing and enhancing our knowledge of your hometown. Have a wonderful weekend my friend, and see you on Monday for you have the Spotlight Sir!!! ~hehehe~ love your theme too! hugs
ReplyDeleteSo nice when something is more than just a building. Is that big wheels of brie cheese I spy??!! Yum. I would take that over the pastries. But I really love the little pottery vases. And of course those views are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a place I would want to visit. I will have to add it to my San Francisco list. Maybe for lunch even, or a snack... the food pictures look yummy.

So do people go there to get a ferry or go to do some shopping or both? Looks like it offers great wares.
