Hayward Zucchini Festival 2016
I went to Hayward Zucchini Festival and really enjoyed myself. It has been held in my town for 34 years and is one of most attended festivals around:
You can see that it was like any other festival I attend but this one is to honor the great Zucchini:
So cheers to the zucchini and I can't wait for next year,
I had never heard of the Zucchini Festival. Sounds & looks fun!
ReplyDeleteI love to go to fairs like this! I was on the fence about zucchini until Hubby started growing them and now I am a believer! I have also come to terms with calling it a courgette.
ReplyDeleteThat one zucchini in particular is large enough to use as a weapon!

I didn't know Hayward was big on zucchini. I love them in the summer.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeleteI think there is a festival for everything!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun festival. I love zucchini - it's so versatile. I just posted a recipe for low carb muffins made with zucchini. Delicious!
ReplyDeleteA festival all about my favorite veggie? (I mean, how can I not love it when I use it everything from zoodles to homemade granola to smoothies?) Talk about heaven!
ReplyDeleteZucchini is so good! There's a lot you can make with it. The festival looks fun.
ReplyDeleteI love zucchini! That sounds like a fun festival! :)
ReplyDeleteA fun way to pay homage to the great zucchini!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit

Lovely meander through the festival. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI grew a huge zucchini one year, and stuffed it( middle eastern style, with meat, pine nuts, and spices.
Happy WW!
Wow a zucchini festival. What an interesting way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the things that I am so confused when I got here. I call this Zucchini and in here they call it courgette! This is a very very interesting event!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of plenty of veggie and fruit festivals, but this is the first zucchini one! Fun!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an interesting festival. I don't think that I've heard of a zucchini festival before. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I wish we had a zucchini festival around here.
ReplyDeleteI grow zucchini in my garden every year. It practically takes over the whole garden. They grow huge, and I'm still trying to perfect the zucchini bread. I haven't found the right recipe yet that I favor, but I'm workin' on it. ~hehehehehe~
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting. We don't have these kinds of festivals, specific to a food or a type of produce, where I live. I'm not too fond of zucchini, but I do like it in some of the ways it's prepared. I would eat the zucchini bread.
ReplyDeleteSupersized zucchinis ! is that last one a drink made out of zucchinis?
ReplyDeleteWow! A zucchini festival! Its one veg that the whole family loves! :)

I love zucchini, and so does our dog Lindy. I don't have to bother cooking it for Lindy...just wash and slice and she's ready to eat as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteJust this week we had fried zucchini...delicious!

That is very cool. I love zucchini (although we call them courgettes here - I wonder why that is?) my Dad grows hundreds of them and we have to find inventive ways to eat them.

So what is the most unique zucchini food you've had at the festival before? Is the last picture a zucchini drink of some sort? Thanks for linking up to the Country Fair Blog Party!
