Music Monday: The Walking Mix
Music Monday: Just my little walking mix these days. Have to get in those steps every day:
Great to have you on the dance floor with "your freebie" mewsic choices. You have a fabulous mix of new and old tunes for to chair boogie to this afternoon. Have a dancetastic week, my friend!
Oh wow, you have many favorites today! Remember that girl that made it to 3rd place in the very first American Idol she sang this tune and she was a clone to the original singer. Every time I hear this tune I think of her. hahaha Oh well, don't dream it's over was a band tune for a long time when I was in the band with the hubby & Venessa's tune always reminds me of Christmas!!! So many great tunes here Patrick you've ROCKED THE HOUSE! LOVE THEM ALL! HAVE A ROCKIN' WEEK MY FRIEND! BIG HUGS
Hi Patrick, I love the song Black Velvet but I think I'm familiar with another version of it, not Allanah Miles. I can't think of who it is that did a cover but I can hear it in my head. It's a great song, no matter who sings it.
You have some fabulous songs here on your walking playlist. LOVE Lady Antebellum's Need You Now. So good! Perfect harmonies in that song. Crowded House's Don't Dream It's Over brings back some 80s dating memories. That's a timeless song. The other one I really like here is Walking in Memphis. Cher did a good cover of this too. But I like the original by Marc Cohn best.
When I read "walking mix" I thought right away of the Navaho concept of Walking in Beauty. Well, when I clicked on Black Velvet (thinking "I've never heard anything by Alannah Myles") I recognized that song right off.A nice Sunday surprise for me. Alana
