I have basically lived in the San Francisco Bay Area all of my life but I had never been up to Twin Peaks even though it is behind my work (pure laziness). Twin Peaks are two prominent hills that are about 925 feet high and are only about 660 feet apart. My son wanted to climb both of them so I went with him on a foggy, overcast day:
The south peak or "Eureka" |
The north peak or "Noe" |
As I said, it was very foggy once you reached the top of either one:
I am happy that I was able to climb both peaks and it was something I have always wanted to do. Glad, I finally did it.
Looks amazing Patrick - love your pictures as always
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun hike. I'll add it to my list for the next time I'm in San Fran. I always like to do things outside the normal tourist attractions.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view from the top (after the fog clears)! Thanks for sharing at The Blogger's Pit Stop! Roseann from www.thisautoimmunelife.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a place to go explore!
ReplyDeleteGlad you did it too, now at least I get to see some photos ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat hiking up there! But Twin Peaks can often be too cold for my taste!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how often we never explore the things right in our own backyard?
ReplyDeleteNice to see your pictures and read your account. I didn't get to go all the way to the top. That -- next time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog. And thank you for leaving me a link to this post. Have a good week, Patrick. :)
