Christmas at The Fairmont

I went by the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco to see what they had going on for Christmas. The Fairmont is one of San Francisco's ritziest hotels where anybody who thinks that they are anybody stays:

The coolest decoration that they had is the Gingerbread House.  The house is two-stories high, stands more 25 feet high, 35 feet wide and features more than 6,000 house-made gingerbrad bricks, 1,650 pounds of candy and 3,300 royal icing:

  1. Wow, is that real peppermint for the archway? Impressive decorations and they didn't mind you taking photos? I suppose the champagne tree is for New Year's.

  17. I was thinking about the Fairmont's Xmas the other day. When I lived in SF years ago, I liked to visit the Fairmont lobby during the Christmas season.

  25. Merry Christmas!! At this this time of year, I miss Christmas's past, those of years ago when I was a kid. The excitement was greater by far then, the anticipation grew more intense by the day as Christmas drew near.
