For this Music Monday, since it is the week of Fourth of July, the birth of this country and the date we declared our independence from England I think we should have some songs the celebrate this country:

Making the Porch Nice

So last week, I said I went to IKEA and got some stuff. I decided to make my front porch nice and place to hang out when it got hot. So here is what I did (Note: there was nothing but the old bamboo chair there before):

It is a small area but now I can go out there and be comfy when it is hot here.

Morning Listening 80's Soundtrack Style

In the morning as I am getting ready to head to work and everyone is sleeping, I like to listen to music. Instead of listening to whatever is downloaded on my phone or a device, I have been listening to records on my record player. It may not be high tech but for me it is a nice way to start the morning.

Wandering Through IKEA

I had to go to IKEA to get some things. I am not a big fan of the place. In fact it can be an intense experience for me way too many. Here are some pics I took while wandering around:

Lucky for me, I found a shortcut and was able to get to the bins and get what I needed before a panic attack set in.

San Leandro Cherry Festival 2019

The Cherry Festival has been going on in San Leandro for 110 years. It began as the city was known for its cherries and orchards when it was a small farming community. Now, San Leandro is part of the San Francisco Bay Area, they still keep the tradition alive:

Sour Cherry Beer-It was good.

One thing about the San Leandro Cherry Festival is that they always are able to bring in a headliner for music. This year, they brought in Sweet Sensation to come in and play:

The San Leandro Cherry Festival is a tradition in these parts that is only getting stronger each year.
