Morning Listening 80's Soundtrack Style
In the morning as I am getting ready to head to work and everyone is sleeping, I like to listen to music. Instead of listening to whatever is downloaded on my phone or a device, I have been listening to records on my record player. Here are some of the great 80's soundtrack records I have been listening to:
It may not be high tech but for me it is a nice way to start the morning.
Are they soundtrack of the films? As far as I know some of them is a movie.
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteIn the age of digital technology with mewsic downloads and streaming, you still play real records. WOW so cool! We don't have any vinyls anymore. Oh, we did stored away in DH's parents' home but after his dad passed and we had issues with bringing back EVERYTHING and a less than cooperative purrson who had everything...well not everything because we couldn't find some stuff, sitting in one of the garages downstairs. It would've been cool to have the stash of records but we wouldn't know what to do with them. I try to not let this bother me but at times it gnawls at me but what is done is done. There's only so much you can do. Thanks for sharing a view of your soundtrck collection listening pleasure, my furriend. Have a good week.
Wow! I think I have listened to all of these soundtracks at one time or another. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
ReplyDeleteThere are one or two on your list that I completely forgot about, like "Against All Odds." St. Elmo's Fire is my favorite and for me, since it has nearly the entire brat pack in it, it defines the times.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! Classic choices, and what a great medium :)
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm on a time travel right now... so many great soundtracks from back in the day!
ReplyDeleteI love my old records and every morning I get one of the kids to choose anything from my collection to get us going and motivated for the day. We have had an eclectic mix ranging from the beastie boys to ACDC to Sandie Shaw. I can't think of a better way to start the day. #anythinggoes
ReplyDeleteWhat a cracking soundtrack to get you moving X #anythinggoes
ReplyDeleteOoh, Pat, you know how I feel about 80s movies and their soundtracks! My favorite soundtrack on this post is St. Elmo's Fire. I had the cassette tape when I was a teenager. And I was obsessed with Some Kind of Wonderful and the cast. I had a magazine cutout of that pic with Eric Stoltz, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Lea Thompson on my closet wall for years. Thanks for sharing this post on Traffic Jam Weekend, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAwesome selection there. I think that would get me moving too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with #pocolo
That is definitely a great way to kick off the day. I donated and/or trashed several albums as we are downsizing our home. #trafficjamweekend
