Murals of Downtown Hayward
I had to go to Downtown Hayward to do something and it was eerie. Nobody around, no cars, no nothing. Anyway, I walked around and took some pics of the murals that the city has done to brighten up downtown. It was nice to see them without anyone around and of course I had all my protection on:
Hope you enjoyed this little tour on how my city over time has tried to make Downtown a more beautiful place.
That picture of Dolly Parton doesn't look anything like her, but I like the area.
ReplyDeleteThe murals are really nice. I especially like the ones of people walking by the shops and the antique store. I miss going through the antique and vintage shops! Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteLove the famous faces!
ReplyDeleteThese murals are amazing, I would love to know more of the history behind them. They definitely make that area a tourist attraction.
ReplyDeleteWow, they have some good ones. Great artists. Thanks for sharing so I could walk around with you with your photos. :) Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these very nice murals. Have a great week! #MLSTL
ReplyDeleteThese murals are fabulous! I loved the Johnny Cash and Willie and patsy Cline one. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo many murals! It must be an American thing because we have nothing like that here in Australia. Very country and western themed and some very artistic efforts amongst them (and no tourists getting in the way of the camera!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I've shared on my SM 😊
Hi Patrick what fantastic murals. I have seen some near where I live but nothing as big as some of yours. It is probably good that there weren't too many people around so you could take your photos and take time to appreciate the art. Thanks for linking up at #MLSTL and have a great week.
ReplyDeletewhat a great collection of murals - love them
ReplyDeleteAmazing murals and great clicks!
ReplyDeleteThese murals are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThose murals are truly extraordinary, Patrick. It's a wonderful initiative taken by the city and a great way to display some great artwork too. Wish more cities could follow this. Thank you for sharing such an uplifting post and for joining us this week.
ReplyDeleteHappy #ww and a blessed week ahead.
What great murals. I must admit I haven't spent much time in Hayward. Maybe I'll head down some time.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness; these are so skilled and creative! What a fun way to add some color and art to a street!
ReplyDeleteHere is a recent travel post, if interested! https://elle-alice.blogspot.com/2020/05/travel-tuesday-minori-to-ravello-hike.html
Lots of nice wall murals. I like the way artists are starting to make utility boxes along sidewalks into works of art. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI love murals and wall art. And these are exceptionally interesting.
ReplyDeleteLucky you got to take a spin without a crowd.
Thanks for sharing on #WW dear Patrick.
Stay safe and have a super week ahead!
This is some seriously fabulous mural work, Patrick! I bet it was kind of eerie to walk around when everything is so empty.

ReplyDeleteYour muriels (sorry - not to sure on that spelling) are out of this world my friend! Thank you so much for sharing and it's such a beautiful day. Dave & I are taking Charlie out for a walk now at our park. It's great to have a park right across the street! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those murals are awesome! I bet it truly was surreal walking around with little to no people - but what an opportunity for great shots! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love murals. I love going to some of the older streets in Sydney and taking in all the murals painted on the aging walls. So artistic.
ReplyDeleteYou found some absolutely incredible murals. I was most impressed by how they used art to make the town more beautiful. Good for them.
ReplyDeleteWow, I would love to go there 👍🏼

Wow, such fabulous murals! My favourite would be giraffes, but all the electrical boxes look fabulous with all those music artists.
