Music Monday: It was twas the first Monday in December and that means we are starting some Christmas tunes
This one is not a traditional Christmas tunes but it is in the spirit of the season:
Paul McCartney's 1983 song World War I Christmas Truce between the two sides:
And these two because we need some Charlie Brown in our Christmas:
Hope everyone has a great Monday.
I enjoyed listening to these songs. Thanks for sharing them. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteA great start to the season! I always love Vince Guaraldi's music for "A Charlie Brown Christmas." It got me into jazz at the tender age of 9.
ReplyDeleteI will have to wait until I get home from rehab to listen to your selections, the WIFI here sucks.I'm lucky I am online at all.
ReplyDeletePatrick,
ReplyDeleteIndeed, "Christmas Is All Around Us"! This is my favorite time of the year not only because it's the anniversary which we celebrate Jesus' birth but the overwhelming kindness that comes with the season. People soften up for the holidays more and that's always a good thing. Now, to get them to carry that attitude throughout the year. Thanks for sharing your mix of oldies and not-so old Christmas songs on the 4M dance floor today. Have a very Merry Christmas, my friend!
Wonderful choices my friend especially our "Whitney Houston". Sure do miss her. Peanuts sure has been around a very long time haven't they, but what would Christmas be like with out them for the kids. Merry Christmas my friend....great job & have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat great choices in Christmas music. So fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day, Patrick. ☺
I had never heard the REM cover of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - very nicely done. Peanuts theme is a memory of many years ago - my first computer had a Peanuts game which my then young son used to love to play and I heard that song over and over. And Jose Feliciano's song has become a classic, too.
