I went to the deYoung Museum in San Francisco and saw the exhibit Calder-Picasso which explores how artists Alexander Calder and Pablo Picasso explored the absence of space in their work:
First up: The works of Pablo Picasso:
And the works of Alexander Calder:
It was great seeing the works of these two abstract artists together and it was so great that the deYoung Museum has reopened again.
So many eye catching artworks!

ReplyDeleteI've never been a big Picasso fan but that first image in particular is intriguing.

Not my cup of tea. I'm more of a Claude Monet fan. It's good to get out and see some artwork though.

That looks great. I'd love to see a Monet or Rembrandt exhibition. Thanks for linking up to #fortheloveofblog
ReplyDeleteAwesome that you could get out to another public place! I have always asserted that art is a matter of opinion and I will just leave it there :)
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!
Fabulous, Patrick! Not only is Picasso my favorite artist, but he is probably one of my favorite humans from an interest stand point. He really was a fascinating man. I am not familiar with Calder, but I really like the samples you shared! I will have to do some research for myself. Thanks for linking.
