Fourth of July Hodgepodge

 


It is the Fourth of July- America's Independence Day.  Two-Hundred and Forty-Eight years ago the Second Continental Congress ratified the Declaration of Independence creating the United States. 

It was an experiment and continues to be an experiment as we are trying to mix all creeds, religions, national origins and political views into a collective vision. Sometimes we argue and differ in our views but that is what helps make our country:






One thing that is unites us is the Olympics. We watch our mix of people with USA on their uniforms. As this is a hodgepodge, here are some Olympic T-Shirts I have received, a book about the 1984 Olympics which took me forever to find:

And to all those served this nation, a big thank (Yes, I am partial to the Navy)


On this day, let's celebrate this experiment we called the United States and let's remember what unites us.

  2. I hope you had a happy 4th! Ours was rained out. Two years in a row we had rain on the 4th of July. Sad.
