Red Rock Canyon
When I was in Vegas, I visited Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and it was so beautiful. The Red Rock area was located under an ocean basin during the Paleozoic Era, about 600 million years ago and about 180 million ago the canyon was formed:
Red Rock Canyon was one of the most spectacular places that I have ever been. It is so beautiful and a place that all would enjoy.
Patrick,
ReplyDeleteThe landscape is so different out west from what I'm used to but I'd love to see places like Red Rock Canyon some day! Thanks for sharing!
That's lots of rocks! I live in Kentucky where everything is green and hilly. Can't imagine trying to climb those big rocks!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant photos love it all against the blue sky :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a rocktastic week :-)
...a beautiful place of nature and just look at that sky in the final picture. What a back drop! I always loved Geography at school and now I remember why. Thanks for sharing with #sharethejoylinky
ReplyDeleteThe colours of the rocks are incredible especially against the azure sky.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like to visit there more than the city. I love relaxing places like this. The red rock is so pretty!

DeleteWow that is beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThe western landscape is spectacular. Great pics
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful place. I visited many years ago but only had time to do the loop in the car. I have to go back and do some hikes. I am sure there is way more to discover in that way.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. It's been ages since I've been to the Southwester United States.
ReplyDeleteThe landscape is so different... Beautiful place to hike and go on a walk.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the park ! Never been there so thanks for the tour!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! So all of this was under water at one time many, many, many moons ago!!! Wow, it's so hard to phantom. Thanks for sharing my friend! hugs
ReplyDeleteI like seeing interesting rock formations. However, here in SoCal, most rock formations are due to fault lines shifting. I'm to scared to go visit them because I'm afraid the Big One will hit while I'm standing on fault! Haha!
ReplyDeleteIt's cool that you appreciate rocky nature as much as you do city culture :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful mountains!

ReplyDeleteYou have taken some of the best photos. My son was just out there last week. We live in Vegas, but I have yet to go out there. Glad you had the opportunity to visit!! Lots of great places to check out.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs. The colour of the earth against the sky reminds me a bit of central Australia! #teamlovinlife
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed look like a ruggedly beautiful place to visit. I've been to Vegas twice and have never heard of this place. We did a day trip to the Grand Canyon. Thanks for providing us with such stunning photos. #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely - perfect for some peaceful photography time
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to #AnythingGoes :)

I've been to Red Rock! You don't hear of a lot of Aussies visiting Red Rock when they go to Vegas. They usually wander off to the Grand Canyon instead. But I loved Red Rock. #teamlovinlife
ReplyDeleteNature is so beautiful and this place is definitely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe colours are fabulous - and really striking against that blue blue sky. #TeamLovinLife
ReplyDeleteA little bit like Sedona, AZ.
ReplyDeleteAmazing rock formations and the colours are stunning Patrick
