Red Rock Canyon

When I was in Vegas, I visited Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and it was so beautiful. The Red Rock area was located under an ocean basin during the Paleozoic Era, about 600 million years ago and about 180 million ago the canyon was formed:

Red Rock Canyon was one of the most spectacular places that I have ever been. It is so beautiful and a place that all would enjoy.

  1. Patrick,

The landscape is so different out west from what I'm used to but I'd love to see places like Red Rock Canyon some day! Thanks for sharing!

  8. This is such a beautiful place. I visited many years ago but only had time to do the loop in the car. I have to go back and do some hikes. I am sure there is way more to discover in that way.

  13. I like seeing interesting rock formations. However, here in SoCal, most rock formations are due to fault lines shifting. I'm to scared to go visit them because I'm afraid the Big One will hit while I'm standing on fault! Haha!

  25. I've been to Red Rock! You don't hear of a lot of Aussies visiting Red Rock when they go to Vegas. They usually wander off to the Grand Canyon instead. But I loved Red Rock. #teamlovinlife
