Get Out and Vote

A while ago, I went out to an outdoor exhibit done by the Haight St. Art Center in San Francisco and kind of forgot that I took these pics of the exhibit. It basically was about the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment which gave the right to vote to women in the United States. The art celebrates the achievements of the suffragists and the complex and troubled history of suffrage and voting rights for all people.

I don't care who you vote for in this election. Just make sure that you vote. It might be the single most important thing you do this election.

The Great Pumpkin Patch

I went to a pumpkin in San Francisco called The Great Pumpkin Patch. It was a cute pumpkin patch

As I said, it was a cute pumpkin patch in the middle of city and enjoyed myself there.

Trip to Apple Hill 2020

I headed up to Placerville and the area known as Applehill. It is a great area with many small farms where you can pick apples and get anything you want with apples. They also have activities for the whole family at the different farms. I went a little late in the season, so a lot of the apples had been already picked:

And there were products that included apples:

And some food:

A chili dog with a chicken apple sausage

An apple crumb cake

A apple dumpling with ice cream

Apple donuts

And if you are one of my students that I teach, you got to watch this goofy video I shot (Sorry, it is not great and I have a voice made for mime):

Music Monday: North of the border

For this Music Monday, we are going North of the Border and looking at some artists from Canada:

And I have to have a little Rush:

And 35 years ago, a bunch of Canadian musicians got together and called themselves Northern Lights and became the Canada's answer to England's Band Aid and America's USA for Africa:

Just Some Murals

Just some murals I have seen recently. The one below is at Burbank School in my town of Hayward, Ca and can been seen in this video for a couple of seconds at the 55 seconds mark:

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
