Happy Halloween

Just a couple of Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos(Day of the Dead) things I have seen.

The King Library at San Jose St. had a cool Dia de Los Muertos display:

Over at the San Francisco Main Library, they just had one Dia de Los Muertos display but they had some really cool pumpkins on display:

What was cool was that the turntable actually worked.

So Happy Halloween to all.

Keepin It Surreal at the HSAC

The Haight Art Gallery has a great exhibit going on called Keepin It Surreal. It is the work of three artists- Dennis Larkins, Isabel Samaras and Dave Kloc. I was able to meet and talk to Isabel Samaras and Dave Kloc

First up is the art of Dennis Larkins:

Next up is the work of Isabel Samaras:

Finally here is some of Dave Kloc's work:

Dave Kloc with a piece of his work

My favorite piece in the whole exhibition is this concert poster by Dave Kloc. I am a huge fan of the music of John Williams and it was so cool how he incorporated different movies that Williams has scored without copyright infringement:

The Haight Street Art Gallery always has great exhibits and this one was so very cool.

Music Monday: Just Things I Have Been Hearing

For this Monday Monday just some songs that have been in my baby brain and I have been listening to lately:

Hope everyone has a good week.

The Conservatory at One Sansome

Located in the the Financial District of San Francisco, the Conservatory is San Francisco's newest public space (It opened last month). It is actually two buildings- The first is a 550-ft skyscraper built in the 1980's  and the other one is a building that was built in 1910 and designed by the famous architect Albert Pissis to house the Anglo and London Bank.

They have done major renovations and have re-named it the Holbrook House and it has a world-class restaurant in now.  I didn't eat there but just took pictures of the place:

And I just loved views from the windows:

The Conservatory at One Sansome is a great addition to San Francisco
