Had to take the ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito on a round trip. Living here you sometimes  forget how beautiful views of things are from the Bay:

Sometimes we take for granted where we live but after my round trip ferry, I don't I ever will again.

Music Monday: Celebrating Independence

Last week for Music Monday I featured songs celebrating America. This week I am going to feature songs that celebrate Independence.  One of the great things about this country is that we have the Independence to choose our own destiny. Independence comes in many different forms as we will learn:

Simms Motorcylces im my hometown of Hayward, Ca has been a leader in custom mototcycles for over 35 years.  Their work has been show in hundreds of magazines through the years:

Simms is a local treasure and I am glad it is in my town of Hayward.

USA World Cup Watch Party and Some Fireworks

There is this event going on in France- It is the FIFA 2019 Women's World Cup. The USA women are in the final which will be played on Sunday. The City of San Francisco is holding outdoor watch parties. I went to the one on last Friday, across the street from the Ferry Building:

And of course it is the Fourth of July, we must remember that 243 years a bunch of people who were called traitors decided to declare their independence from England to start this experiment called the United States of America. It was an experiment that people have a say in the government . Two-hundred and forty three years, it is still an experiment that we still tinkering with. We have our problems but the experiment is still going strong (The Fireworks are from the A's game):

San Francisco Pride Festival 2019

I went to the San Francisco Pride Festival, it was as usual a good time with a lot of people:

The San Francisco Pride Festival is a huge cultural and civic deal in San Francisco. The whole city comes together, unites and makes it a great time for everyone.
