Walking the San Francisco Bay Trail

 

The weather has been lovely here the last couple of days. The smoke is gone from the air and I went out walking. I went to San Leandro and decided to walk some of the San Francisco Bay Trail. As I mentioned, the San Francisco Bay Trail has many parts and encompasses the whole Bay Area. I love walking all the the different places around the San Francisco Bay. The beauty of it is that you get different views in the different places:

I know I will walking more of the San Francisco Bay Trail-LOL from different place and I will be sharing the pics. 

The Redwoods by Randy Colosky

 

I was walking in San Francisco and saw some unusual public art. I found out that it was done by an artist names Randy Colosky.  Colosky is a Bay Area artist who is a conceptual artist who transforms mundane materials into poetic works of art:

I found the art every interesting and loved how warm it was. He did a wonderful job.

Murals of the Lower Haight

 

I was hanging in the Lower Haight and I saw all these amazing murals:

In my view this is some truly amazing art.

Walking at Quarry Lakes

 

Quarry Lakes is located in Fremont, Ca. Before being turned into a beautiful park, it was a gravel quarry from about 1912 until 1972. Between 1975 and 1992, the East Bay Regional Parks District and the Alameda County Water District purchased the land and started to convert the land into a Park. The 471 acre park opened up in 2000:

Quarry Lakes is a gem and I am lucky that it is 10 minutes from my house and I need to spend more time there.

Niles Station

I was driving down Mission Blvd in Fremont, Ca and saw the front of an apartment complex. It is called the Niles Station Apartments and the art work pays tribute to when Niles section of Fremont was a huge train depot back in the day:
 

I thought it was cool and interesting to see the art work they have done. Looks really cool as you are driving.
