CSUEB Annual Night of Jazz
I went to the Cal State East Bay's (IT IS CSU HAYWARD-THAT IS WHAT MY DEGREE SAYS) Annual Night of Jazz at the famous Jazz Club Yoshi's in Oakland. The proceeds from the concert go to the program. It was a great night of really good music by the students in the jazz program. They had two special guests sit in- singer Tiffany Austin and sax player Teodross Avery. Both were super awesome:

Baseball is Back:Giants FanFest 2016
Baseball is back and I am happy. I love listening to the games and reading the box scores is the morning. A couple of weeks ago, the San Francisco Giants had their Fanfest inside AT&T Park. It was packed and a lot of fun:

Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area
Quarry Lakes is a recreation area in Fremont. The quarries for which Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area is named
were established in the mid-19th century. Gravel taken from the banks
of Alameda Creek was used in the construction of the transcontinental
railroad's western section.
After quarrying came to an end, the lakes began to be used for groundwater recharge by the Alameda County Water District, which diverts water from Alameda Creek into the pits. The East Bay Regional Park District and created a beautiful space to enjoy:
Quarry Lakes is a beautiful place to have a nice walk or enjoy a day at.

Walking Through Caesars Palace
I was going through my photos and forgot that I had taken a bunch of photos while walking around Caesars Palace on my Las Vegas trip in November. Caesars is one of the oldest casinos/hotels on the strip. It is almost 50 years old. It is done in a Greco-Roman Style. So I might as well post them, right? So here is my walk through Caesars:
And of course there are some wild slot machines:
Caesars Palace is a classic casino/hotel and I hope it stays the same:

Mission Santa Clara de Asis
I got to visit Mission Santa Clara de Asis. The mission, the eighth in California, was founded on January 12, 1777 and named for St. Clare of Assisi the foundress of the order of the Poor Clares.
A rebuilt and restored Mission Santa Clara was consecrated in 1929, when it assumed its primary modern function as chapel and centerpiece of the University of Santa Clara campus:
| A wall. The only part of the original Mission |
Mission Santa Clara de Asis is a beautiful church and I love the fact that it is the centerpiece of the University of Santa Clara.
