Not too long ago, I drove though Bakersfield and made a quick stop at Buck Owens Crystal Palace. It is a place that honors the great musician Buck Owens who is from Bakersfield. The place is part museum, part restaurant and part performance venue. The reason I am saying that this is a teaser is that I got there during a period when it was closed and was only allowed to see the front area which houses a bunch of memorabilia:
Johnny Cash |
Willie Nelson |
I can't wait to be able to get down and see the whole Buck Owens Crystal Palace in the near future:

Also, I would love to say to anyone who has come by this dribble that I photograph a very safe and Happy New Year and thanks for reading this blog that is really about nothing.

ReplyDeletePatrick, when I think of Buck Owens, I think of Nashville. I reckon his roots are in Bakersville, huh? This looks like an interesting place to visit. The Snoopy drawing you photograph, I have a little statue that sorta looks like it that DH gave me while we were dating. It has a tiny inspiration on it which reads: I Can't Stop Lovin' You. :) Thanks for the all the blog fun we've shared this year and I'm looking forward to another in the coming new year. May God's blessings be with you and yours, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI used to watch him on Hee Haw with my grandfather. Blessings to you!
