Colossal Creatures in Bloom

 


In Yerba Buena Gardens, big Mexican folk-art creatures have taken over the place. Weighing over 1,200 lbs, these creatures represent animal spirit guides. The artists are from the state of Oaxaca in southeastern Mexico:









I think that these creatures are super cool and it was a treat seeing them.

  9. Very fun fantasy animal sculptures! Something to enjoy with kids, etc. I like this type of art more than some other modern sculptures.
