Music Monday: The 1985 Academy Award Nominees


With the 2015 Academy Award nominees going to be announced in a couple of weeks, I have decided to review the five songs that were nominated in 1985 which honors the movies of 1984.

1984 was one of the greatest years in songs for the film as seven songs that were featured in films hit Number 1 on the Billboard Top 100. For the first and only time in Oscar history, all five nominated songs were #1 hits. Here are the five nominees:
