Life Magazine 2-24-1958

I haven't been going to any bookstores lately. Just been way to busy. I did find an old Life Magazine at a thrift store and picked it up. Back in the day, Life Magazine was the best. It was read by everybody and it had the best ads and stories. This one had a story about the Civil War by Winston Churchill, a feature on Jack Benny, a story on how to improve baseball and great ads:

By Sir Winston Churchill
Part of the feature on  Jack Benny
Basically saying baseball needs to change

And the back cover:

It is always great to take a look at what life was like over 50 years ago.

  1. Oh my goodness, I love that back cover - it would make a great poster. I googled LIFE to see what they are printing today and saw that it is no longer in print. How sad, surely there's room for this and Kim Kardashian :)

  2. How cool to see what was popular at the time 50 years ago. I love vintage things. They seem to have had more quality then things made today. Thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday! Hope to see you link up again this week :)
