Hayward 9/11 Memorial

It is is Veterans Day and I finally got to go by the 9/11 Memorial in Downtown Hayward. Besides honoring the heroes of 9/11, it is also dedicated to local first responders, military veterans (I am included in that) and their families. So, I decided to share this for Veterans Day:

And a bonus, I went to the Cal-Washington football game at California's Memorial Stadium and as I was leaving the security guard let me in the player walkway to take these photos:

In your busy day, please take a second to say a prayer for our veterans and those who are on active service and protecting our rights in the nation.

  1. Than you for serving, and honoring others who have served. As an educator in recent years it has saddened me with the growing number of youth who don't seem to understand, appreciate, or demonstrate patriotism. Thank you for showing what it means to be American!

  2. It looks a lovely memorial place. Thanks for sharing this post.

  3. What a Day and What bravery, We do remember here in the UK as well. Thank yo for serving humanity and for sharing this Hayward 911 Memorial at the Pit Stop

  4. What a fitting tribute to some very brave people, we remember our serving and fallen on 11th November, the motto is Lest we Forget or We will never forget them. Such a high cost for our freedom. Thank you for linking up your post with #sharethejoy Lizzie

  5. Looks like a really touching experience. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  6. Patrick, thank you for this lovely post. It is a wonderful tribute to our veterans! And thanks for linking up with me every week On the Edge.

Love hearing comments on stuff. Please tell me what you think of the places I have been to. If you like them or not. I love comments.
