It is is Veterans Day and I finally got to go by the 9/11 Memorial in Downtown Hayward. Besides honoring the heroes of 9/11, it is also dedicated to local first responders, military veterans (I am included in that) and their families. So, I decided to share this for Veterans Day:
And a bonus, I went to the Cal-Washington football game at California's Memorial Stadium and as I was leaving the security guard let me in the player walkway to take these photos:
In your busy day, please take a second to say a prayer for our veterans and those who are on active service and protecting our rights in the nation.
Than you for serving, and honoring others who have served. As an educator in recent years it has saddened me with the growing number of youth who don't seem to understand, appreciate, or demonstrate patriotism. Thank you for showing what it means to be American!
