A Visit to Ardenwood Farm

Ardenwood Farm was a farm owned by George and Clara Patterson from the 1850's. In 1978 the farm was turned over by the Patterson family to the city of Fremont and in 1985 the East Bay Regional Parks District started to operate it as a fully functional turn-of-last-century farm:

Ardenwood Farm is an amazing place to visit and spend some time. I am so glad that they have kept it as it was back in the day.

  5. A slice of history. I was raised on a farm in the 50s and 50s. Lots of work, but a peaceful way to live.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Patrick. ☺

  9. I used to live on a small homestead back in the early 1980's and raised what are now considered heritage breed chickens. We have a rich history our children need to know and I hope many parents take their children out to see and experience this.
