  1. Oh my goodness, I love it that you put a cartoon movie up & the coolest song! David Bowie was definitely a master of the art! Eric Clapton will always be king in my book. The song that he wrote for his son I too use it for my own daughter that I lost in 1977! Her name was Angel. Uncanning that I named her that. Her full name was Angelina, but we called her Angel. I hear that song & a tear comes to my eye! It's the most beautiful song in the world, I think! Thanks for joining us my friend. You've rocked the house as always! BIG HUGS

  2. Patrick,

The only song I identify with instantly with a movie is "Live and Let Die". All others I had no clue were used in the flicks mentioned. Come to think about it, I haven't seen any of these movies. lol "Tears in Heaven" is such a beautiful song. It always leaves me in such somber mood every time I hear it. Thanks for hitting the dance floor with the 4M gang, my friend. Have a good week!!

  4. I loved this post because I didn't know so many of these songs that I did know came from movies (or were used in them). The David Bowie song was new to me, and it was quite enjoyable. I never heard of that movie either. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  5. Hi Patrick,
I love Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die". Such a great song! And cool to be associated with a Bond flick.
I also love Clapton's unplugged "Tear in Heaven". Which Rush movie is this song from? There are a few movies titled Rush...

The Goo Goo Dolls song is perfect for the "City of Angels" movie. I think that might've been the first time I ever saw Nicolas Cage. What a great cast with him, Meg Ryan and a favorite of mine, Dennis Franz. That was a wonderful movie, hopeful and sad at the same time.

I don't remember ever seeing the last three movies your showcased. But like David Bowie. Bad movie, huh??

    Great post.
Hope you're having a good week...

  6. It's amazing the effect the soundtrack has on a movie. Can't think of an example just now, but sometimes it eclipses the movie!
