The Automatic Age-History of Coin Operated Machines

During the late 1800s, the coin-operated, automatic age expanded into the United States with the invention of a multitude of gambling devices, trade stimulators, vending machines, and arcade games for people's enjoyment. The San Francisco Airport (SFO) has an exhibit with the some these cool games from that era:

Electricity is Life -1899

1912 U.S. Postage Stamp Machine
1901 Automatic Edison Phonograph
OOMPH-1947
Spark Plug-1934
1902 Log Cable Bagatelle table game. Our modern pinball comes from this
Columbus Model G Gum Vendor
1899 Spinning Top
1935 Aerial Cup
Counter Combo Blow and Grip Machine -1905
1940 Wurlitzer Model 41
Whiffs of Fragrance - 1916
It was really cool and wonderful seeing these old games. SFO did a great job in this exhibit.
