I totally agree on No Doubt! Gwen Stefani had a fabulous voice. It was very powerful, but she hasn't let herself loose in a while. I wish she would. Awesome video my friend & choice. As far as Gloria Estefan she was never much appreciated like she should've been. Bruce Springsteen's Streets of Philadelphia odd, but maybe not I've never heard that tune. Bare Naked Ladies... well there's so many that should've gotten recognition, and you have chosen some good ones here my friend. Thanks for giving them the their just dues! BIG HUGS & HAVE A ROCKIN' WEEK!
ReplyDeleteThe 90s, especially the early part of the decade was blur for me so mewsic really didn't register. Many of these artists didn't show up on my radar. The only two I knew existed at the time was Gloria Estefan and Bruce Springsteen. Monday's Music Moves Me introduced me many of these lost tracks in my mind once I began blogging in 2010. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with the 4M gang. Fabulous 90s mix!
ReplyDeleteWhat cool choices! We're big R.E.M. and Springsteen fans.
ReplyDeleteI like your choices. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteFun choices, RHCP, REM good stuff
ReplyDeletei LOVE LOVE R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion!! Such a great song. And No Doubt's Don't Speak is another favorite.
ReplyDeleteSpringsteen's Streets of Philadelphia were perfect for the movie. I just featured the song last week for the Movies theme. Great song.
And I haven't heard the Barenaked Ladies in so long.
Excellent choices here...with a perfect finishing touch with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
All these songs are great!

The 90's weren't my favorite musical decade, but you included three songs I love - especially Under the Bridge,a song I find myself singing to and getting chills each time I hear it. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSome great songs here. Loved the first 3 so much back in the day. Great selection. Thanks for sharing at Creative Mondays :) Hope you can join us again soon.
ReplyDeleteLosing My Religion by R.E.M. Speedwagon and Don't Speak by No Doubt made the charts on radio stations around the world.
ReplyDeleteThey weren't so appreciated, probably because - the artists repeated words and phrases many times, more than ever, and the names of the songs sound preposterous to a common listener.
However, these songs are something to remember the nineties by.
I loved NKOTB, they were starting it out with Step-by-Step, in those days!
