Walking in Downtown Petaluma

I went walking around Downtown Petaluma recently. Petaluma is a city about an hour north of San Francisco. At one time it was known as the "Egg Capital of the World" and called Chickaluma. It had the only known Poultry drugstore and  where the egg incubator was invented by Lyman Byce in 1879. It is now known for its historic downtown and laid-back vibes. The weather on the day I was there started out nice and sunny and then became cloudy and rainy as the day went on:

The Original Petaluma Carnegie Library was built in the early 1900's. It now houses the Petaluma Museum
The Petaluma Museum pays honor to the town's past:

If you are in the Bay Area, it is worth it to a trip to Petaluma and enjoy the day.

  2. I want that pink truck. That's way cool. I've not been in Petaluma for a couple of years. Our yacht club boated there one year.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  14. Hi! I found you on Positive Practice Living WW. I live in WV and have never heard of Petaluma before, but I'm glad I did! This was very interesting! I love all the historic buildings. We also have a Carnegie Library in my little town of Parkersburg. Well, it used to be a library, then it became a used bookstore. Unfortunately, it closed a couple years ago. Thank you for sharing! If I ever get to CA, I hope to visit! Have a great day!
