A Walk Around SAFECO Field

The entrance to SAFECO Field-Home of the Seattle Mariners
April 1st was the start of the 2013 Major Baseball Season. Even though the Seattle Mariners were on the road in Oakland, the Mariners decided to let folks into SAFECO field and watch the game on their big screen. I had never been to SAFECO so it was a chance to walk around:

The view from behind home plate
From the field
The view from centerfield
From the left field line
From high up in right field
On the field-first base side
Like every park it has things unique to it:

The hand-done scoreboard in left field
The tribute to the great Mariner "Voice" Dave Niehaus who passed away in 2010. He was the voice of the Mariners from their birth until he passed away in 2010.
The fountain in the left field power alley
The Bullpen

And you never know who will show up:

Former Mariner great Edgar Martinez
SAFECO is a very nice stadium. When they built 13 years ago, they got it right.
