I went to the UNLV-San Diego St football game At Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday. I had planned this trip more than a month ago. Then the tragic events of eight days ago happened and the game took on a little more meaning. The game became a healing process for a community. We think of Vegas as a tourist place but we forget that a lot of people live, work and go to school there. It is a community much like any other in the country. So this post is dedicated to all of those who were killed, wounded or there the night of the shootings, to all the first responders, police officers, medical people and anybody else to did anything in response and finally to the community of Las Vegas:

There was a football game that was played:
UNLV lost to San Diego St 41-10 but the game was secondary as it part of the healing process of the Las Vegas community.
Great post. Yep, there are regular people living in Las Vegas. Kudos to the event celebrating the community.

at least let us mourn first before trying to divide us and attacking our feelings by your comment. If a person believes in Jesus Christ then that is the only thing he/she needs to prepare for something like this.

ReplyDeleteThis was horrible! My heart goes out to all touched by this evil and while many of us were not directly affected, this sort of thing still impacts our lives. Change of the heart is what our world needs. Let's pray for THIS change to happen so that we all might live in a more peaceful society. God bless Las Vegas, God bless the USA! Beautiful tribute, my friend and it's good to see life continuing amidst such sorrow.
