People playing violins at Powell St. BART
Just wanted to say a THANK YOU to anybody who has stumbled upon this exercise of words and pictures that I have put together on a semi-consistent basis. I hope whoever has come upon this has enjoyed their stay here no matter how long or short your stay has been.

Fish in the display tank at Bass Pro Shop
I guess you can say I am little like the fish in the tank always swimming around and looking for the next food dish.

But anyway again I would like to say THANK YOU to anybody who has read this and a big HAPPY NEW YEAR and wishing everybody a great 2013. May all of your dreams and wishes come true in 2013:

The Game:Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl: ASU vs. Navy

My ticket
The pregame and the tailgate were great and the game...well if you were a Arizona St. fan it was great as they boatraced Navy 62-28. Even though this old salt was not happy that Navy lost, he still had a great time at the game and attempted to take some action photos:

ASU's QB Taylor Kelly handing off to RB Marion Grice
Navy about to snap the ball
ASU's Taylor Kelly back to pass
ASU QB Michael Eubank on the run
As the game entered the latter stages I wondered from seat and was able to get these shots:

Navy huddling up during a timeout
I like these Navy helmets
ESPN sideline reported Jenn Brown
Navy center (#60) Kahikolu Pescala
ASU's Will Sutton talking about a sack. He was named Defensive Player of the Game
The scoreboard says it all
Even though Navy took a beat down. These two Midshipmen (talk about class acts)agreed to take this pic for me right after the game:

WR Jonathan Gazaille (#89) and WR Matt Shibata (#84)

2012 Brigade of Midshipmen Bowl Game Tailgate

One of the cool things about the 2012 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl was The Brigade of Midshipmen Bowl Game Tailgate. It was held in the one of the piers near AT&T Park and it was great. You paid to get in and there was great food stations all around, soft drinks (for alcohol there was a cash bar), a live band and a lot of great people to talk top. It was the perfect thing to get you in the mood before the game:

Midshipmen Caps
Pork the other white meat
People enjoying the good time
Steamed vegi rolls
Shrimp
One of the many food stations
And the band played on
Hot Dogs with BBQ and ketchup
People having fun
C is for Cookie
Yes we are
Navy lost the bowl game, but would have won the Tailgate Bowl.

Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Pregame

Went to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park in San Francisco yesterday. It was a blast. Even though Arizona St. boatraced Navy 62-28. I still had a ton of fun. Also, I took a lot of pics. There was a lot of cool stuff going on. I am going to break it up into three blogs (hopefully I will have all three up by tomorrow night) this one is what I saw during the pregame, the second one will be cool tailgate deal I went to and the third will be the game itself. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed the whole experience of the 2012 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl:

One of the drummers of the ASU Band outside of AT&T
The Party People are in the House
The Weiner Mobile

Another view of the field
This was the coolest T-shirt there

The Sugar Castle at the Westin St, Francis

I am not much on the gingerbread architecture scene. I once entered a gingerbread house building contest and mine ended up looking something that had been through a hurricane. That being said I stumbled into the Westin St.Francis Hotel in Union Square in San Francisco and saw the Sugar Castle created by Westin and was amazed. It takes the crew 400 hours each year (They start in July) to create it. It resembles a French Chateau, weighs about 1,300 lbs and the details are amazing. I don't think that my pictures do it justice:

The Westin Sugar Castle
The little houses around the Castle
The train going around it
Love the house
Another great little detail
This building is just so cool
Love the neighborhood
The details of the display are so amazing
The front of the main castle
I can spend hours looking at the display and not see everything it was so good. And everything is edible.
