A Little Collection on Signed Books

I was doing some cleaning around my bookshelves and putting some books in order and figured out that I collected a bunch of signed books. I usually find them at library book sales and places like that and I decided to share some with you:

I thought the Newt autograph was great because he is a former Speaker of the House.

I got this one at a library book sale. Kemmerer was a major league pitcher for ten years and tells some great stories in the book.

I was at the Oakland Museum White Elephant sale and on Saturday they were selling the books for half off. I saw this while going through the stacks and was stoked. I grew up watch him on NBC as a kid.

Tarkenton is a NFL Hall of Famer and has gone on to a successful business career.

Rutherford is an auto-racing legend and a three-time Indy 500 Champion. I got both this book and the Tarkenton book at the huge Friends of San Francisco Library Book Sale.

I found this one at a flea market. Great book about the NFL.

This was the strangest find as I was at the San Leandro Library Book Sale. It was in the finer book section and then about 30 minutes before the sale ended, they marked it down and it go into your $3.00 bag. So I was pleased. Very interesting book about San Quentin and the men on Death Row in the 50's.

The final two are ones that I have actually had the people sign:

I had bought this book at a library book sale and thought it was a great. Then I went to the Swinging Skirts Pro-Am in San Francisco this year and she signed it for me. Super cool.

I bought the book when it first came out at Book Passage in Corte Madera. I was one of the first 1,000 people who bought it at Book Passage and received an autograph ticket. It was a super cool deal. It was great meeting a former President even for 30 seconds.

Some 49ers Art

49ers Sports Illustrated Covers
When I was at Levi's Stadium for my tour, they had a lot of cool stuff up in the club section. Stuff like above which was all of the 49ers Sports Illustrated covers and blow-ups of old game programs. I am going to call it 49er art:

Blow-up of a 1953 game program
1957 Blow-up
1956 blow-up
49er media guides.
And there was some original art work in the club section:

I guessing throughout Levi's Stadium there is a lot more but on our tour we were only allowed in certain areas.

#October Together

For the third time in five seasons the San Francisco Giants are in the World Series. Here are images of #October Together in San Francisco:

Unused 2012 World Series Tickets.

Lefty's O'Doul's I guess is the official place to hang during the World Series (Hate having to work during the games). They have cool thing going and that is a link up with Walsh's Bar in Kansas City where in a special section you can link up and facetime from Lefty's in S.F. to Walsh's in K.C.:

The section at Lefty. On the screen is Walsh's in K.C. (This is a couple of hours before game time)

It is always cool to have the World Series in your backyard. Go Giants and hopefully we will spend a couple of more #October's Together.
