The parish of St. Dominic's in San Francisco was founded by the Dominican Order in 1873, the current church was finished in 1928:
And like most of the older churches in San Francisco, it has amazing stained glass:

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art had an exhibit by Kara Walker that was super creepy. They were actually automations (they moved). These gardeners are about the ritual and struggle of the human soul. And they were very creepy:
