A Visit to Downtown Turlock

 

Turlock, California is a city located in the heart of the Central Valley of California. It is the home of California State University, Stanislaus, I didn't make to the campus but to the Downtown for a small bit:

One of the best Hot Dog shops I have ever been

Downtown Turlock is small and quaint but cool. I enjoyed my time there.

A Place of Peace

 

I drive this house at least once a week and have been amazed. I finally stopped and decided to take a look and found out that it is a place of true peace:

I am so glad that I stopped as I felt a wash of peace come over me which is always needed: 

Signs of Spring

 

Even though the weather has been weird here- one day rainy, the next day sunny and 75 - I am seeing signs of spring walking around:

It was nice to see Spring coming out.

I forgot I had this. When I was driving back from Las Vegas, I made a stop at Murray Family Farms which is a place that you can stop and buy some produce, get something to eat, see some animals and rest when you are traveling:

Mothership: Voyage Into Afrofuturism

 

The Oakland Museum had an exhibit called Mothership-Voyage Into Afrofuturism which was the past, present and future as seen through an African-American cultural lens. It expresses a just world where African-Americans and their culture and ideas thrive. It is part real, part fantasy and part science fiction:

It was very interesting to see how reality and science fiction meet.
