The city that I lived in for most of my life, was educated in (from K through four-year degree) and enjoy had a little All America Festival literally down the street from my house. It was put on by the Hayward Area Recreation Department at Mt. Eden Park. I went down and even though it was small, it was really cool and I decided to show some love:
Mt.Eden Mansion |
Hayward Mayor Barbara Halliday thanking those who came |
People dancing away and having fun |
It was really cool to see something like this a) in my city as we are used to having to go other places or festivals like this and b) right down the street from my house. I hope it gets bigger and better over the years. I hope everybody has a wonderful and safe Fourth of July:
Looked like fun and I want that hot dog LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a festivaltastic week :-)
This looks like loads of fun and the tie-dye apparel took me back to my afro and dashiki days. How cool to have a event like this so close to home. It's always a pleasure to have you at our party and I hope you're having a great week.

I love learning about different areas. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOur Fourth was fairly quiet - we let off a few fireworks. We thankfully stayed safe. Looks like you had a great day at the Tennyson festival.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. Looks like a fun place. I found the statue very interesting. Is there a story behind it?
ReplyDeleteBut not too big, I've seen many fests and things ruined like that. I love the small town events the best, visited a few in the last two days. The knick knack photo is very cool, looks like it's over a pool.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, it looks fun here. I want a hot dog now, yum!! Thanks for linking up.
