Music Monday: Songs of 2003
Music Monday: The goal of this Music Monday is to build a playlist of songs for 34th birthday which for me was 2003:
There are the songs of my 34th trip around the sun which happened in 2003.
The only one of these songs I knew (besides the original Drift Away) was "Bring Me To Life". I enjoyed the Christina Aguilera song a lot - a powerful voice. The Kid Rock duo showed me a different side of him than some other songs of his I have heard.
Funny story about Drift Away. I was in my “mom’s taxi” phase, transporting two daughters and tons of friends all over the neighborhood. The song came on the radio and I started to sing along, and my kids were amazed that I actually knew an Uncle Cracker song …they had no idea it was a cover.
One or both of my daughters liked Michelle Branch during their early teen years. I haven't heard anything from her in years. Wiki says she lives in Nashville with her hubby, Patrick Carney of the Black Keys, and children. I find a lot of the singers/songwriters live in Nashville. I'd like to spend a long weekend there sometime soon. Maybe after life settles down a bit for us we can think about it more seriously. :) Thanks for hitting the dance floor this week, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

ReplyDeleteUncle Kracker is a name not heard much of these days!
ReplyDeleteExcellent set, especially kicking it of with Carlos Santana...
