I went to the 56th California International Antiquarian Book Fair and saw some amazing stuff (All are first editions):
First Bible Concordance in English-1550 |
Shakespeare's Third Folio-1685 |
First Edition of Gone With the Wind, signed by all the major cast members from the movie |
And I love seeing the non-book things that are there:
1971 Peanuts TV Cell |
An appointment by President Abraham Lincoln |
An early drawing by Dr. Seuss |
Original music to the theme from Casino Royale |
R.Crumb original drawing
I always love seeing the cool things that are for sale there, the only thing is that I can't afford them. LOL.
Wow, this is neat! I love seeing your photos. If you ever get a chance to see the Gutenberg Bible in Washington D.C. at the Library of Congress--go! Same with original artwork of Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss) at the Legends Gallery in La Jolla. So fun. Thank you for sharing this post with me and with my readers at the Will Blog for Comments #34 linkup. We hope to see you next time at #35 with more posts, old or new. Have a great week.
