The Clark County Museum is a hidden gem in Nevada. It is located in Henderson and way off the strip. The inside is your basic stuff which shows the growth of the area from pre-historic times to the modern day:
My favorite was the Candlelight Wedding Chapel. It was opened in 1968 and by 2004, it was closed and sitting there. It was donated to Clark County in 2007 and it was moved, refurbished and reopened to the public in 2007. Some of the celebrities married there were Sir Michael Caine, Bette Midler, Whoopie Goldberg and Barry White.
The Clark County Museum is a hidden gem in the Las Vegas area. I really loved my visit there.
That sounds like a really neat museum!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day! That wolf taxidermy looks a little wonky.
ReplyDeleteThis looks fun and interesting! I don't love Las Vegas, so finding off-the-strip things is right up my alley. :) Thanks for sharing this post with us at the Will Blog for Comments #56 linkup! We'd love to see more at #57, too. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool museum. I can definitely feel the desert in the photos, and I particularly like the old slot machines.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
What a cool place. I would love to see this in person. I've put it on our to-do list.

I love a good museum visit! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy to think Sir Michael Caine got married in a church so tiny...Not that's he's the flashy Hollywood type. #Allseaons - hope to see you next week
ReplyDeleteA wonderful step back in time.
ReplyDeleteI have been here, a great visit. I love the recreated town with all the houses and building brought in from around the area! We were there in Dec and they had the whole town decorated.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting museum.
ReplyDeleteI love these little quaint towns with lovely museums like this one. Generally if you find a few friendly locals, you can strike up many an interesting conversation. Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.
