I got to do something that I really wanted to the other day, I walked the Moraga Steps in San Francisco. The steps are located on Moraga St between 15th and 16th Avenue. The steps are a tiled mosaic that runs 163 steps up:
And once you have climbed all the steps-this is what you see:
The Moraga Steps are one of San Francisco's little hidden treasures that not many know about.
Street art (or step art?) comes in all sorts of forms. These step mosaics are quite intricate and beautiful.

What a cool staircase. Yes, I imagine that took a lot of time and patience to compete. The nice view of the city at the top is the icing on the cake.

Patrick, what a wonderful staircase to photograph and to walk up! That's just beautiful and can you imagine how long it took to place those tiles down to create such a magnificent design? The view from the top isn't bad, either! Great job and thanks for sharing! Happy #WW!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Patrick! And it reminds me of an art project that I did when I was probably only in second or third grade. We folded our paper like stair steps and then had different designs we glued to one side and then the other. I loved it and have held on to that art project ever since. It still amazes me what a beautiful piece it was. Thanks for sharing, my friend!
