Bay Area Book Festival 2025

Berkeley hosted the Bay Area Book Festival. It was the first time I was able to go in a couple of years. There was no one famous but a lot of local authors there.

There were people selling things related books:

A journal made of a book cover

A purse from a book

And some books:

And a bunch of local authors:

EJ Tanda

Jonathan Rice

Doc Bastard

Kate Grant

Lucy Holmes Higgin

Jonesy Elise

It was a great time and I really enjoyed meeting a bunch of talented local people.

Having fun at Carnaval 2025

I went to a fun time at Carnaval 2025 in the Mission District in San Francisco. Carnaval is a huge event that celebrates all Latinx culture. Carnaval can draw upwards of 500,000 people for the weekend. I go on Saturday when the crowds are a little less:

There are the vendors:

One thing I am trying to do is highlight local vendors if I am able to:

Tommy Nello

Francisco Franco Studios

Artist Miller Hoffman

Estilo Clothing

There was lots of music:

Loads of Food:

Bubblegum Aqua Fresca- So good

But mainly it is the people that makes Carnaval:

Carnaval is back to where it was before the pandemic. It is an amazing time.
