Neon Boneyard Park

The Neon Boneyard Park or Neon Museum is located in Las Vegas and is dedicated to the collecting, preserving and studying the iconic signs of the Las Vegas. The museum opened in 1996 and is a really cool place to see some the historic signs:

The Neon Boneyard Park is a cool place to see history light up in front of you:

Music Monday: Road Trip Songs

Music Monday: I drove up to Las Vegas to see family (I was very careful and avoided a lot of contact with humans, plus the casinos and other Vegas attractions have a lot limits on the number of people allowed) and drove back. Here are some cool road tripping songs:

And finally:

Hopefully everyone has a wonderful Monday.

A Visit to San Carols Cathedral

I am away right now as I am visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. When I was in the Monterey Area I drove by San Carlos Cathedral. The place wasn't open but it was cool to see the outside. The Cathedral has a great history as it was founded by Father Junipero Serra in 1770, then he moved the Mission to Carmel but the church remained open as a Royal Chapel for the soldiers guarding the Spanish Presidio of Monterey:

Even though I just was able to walk around it was really cool to see a piece of California history.

Happy Thanksgiving 2020

I know that 2020 has had its challenges big time and has been not the greatest year. Even though 2020 has been a downer of a year with COVID going around, I believe that there is much to be thankful for. One big thing is life itself, life is a precious thing and if we are alive, then there is hope for a better day.

This whole COVID deal has taught me that I need to change some things in my life. Become more grateful for those around me. Enjoy the small things that each person I encounter in my life brings, however small.

I hope anybody who reads this has a good Thanksgiving and remember that I am sending everybody who stops by reads this dribble some positive thoughts and as Deion Sanders said in the NFL Network commercial back in the spring "We're going to be all right". I really believe that once people start really changing their lives, we will emerge stronger and better as a people:

As I leave with a heart of gratitude to everyone who has come by to read this dribble of mine. I will leave you with three things and if everyone can do this on a daily basis then our world's will be a better place:

Peace to all who read this and sending you positive thoughts on this Thanksgiving.

Seven Magical Mountains

I am away visiting family in Nevada right now. I am being very careful as I don't really gamble, staying away from people and always wearing my mask.

About ten miles south of Las Vegas in desert, a Swiss artist names Ugo Rondinone did some public art called the Seven Magic Mountains. It opened in 2016.It brings color to the Mojave Desert and my pictures do not do it justice at all:

As I said, my little pics does not do this justice as it is so amazing to see in person.

Music Monday: G-R-A-T-E-F-U-L

Music Monday: We are going to try to spell out the word Grateful here using song. I am away this week and I am so GRATEFUL that people listen to my weird tastes in music. I try not be in one groove as I have many different tastes in music.

A little something about me, I learned a lot of about music during my first ill-attempt at college as I was DJ (A voice made for mime here) and the music director of KCRH which was the Chabot Junior College's radio station way back in the day. And I interned at two San Francisco radio stations (K101 and X-100 (that it was known as then-99.7 FM on the dial). I am so grateful for those experiences as it broadened my whole musical world.

Genius of Love - Tom Tom Club:

Radio GA-GA - Queen:

Again- Janet Jackson:

Take Me Home- Phil Collins:

Epic- Faith No More:

Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades - Timbuk 3

Under The Milky Way -  The Church:

Life in A Northern Town- Dream Academy:

Hope everyone has a good and safe Thanksgiving and I am GRATEFUL that you listen and read what I post here.

A Walk Through Santana Row

I had to go to Santana Row in San Jose. It is a place that I am normally never found. It is a chic outdoor shopping mall. Yuck. But I was there and here are the pics:

They have Tesla Dealership there

But I did find these cute characters:

Santana Row isn't the place that I hang out a lot but it was pretty cool to walk around it.
