HAPPY NEW YEAR and a Couple of Tunes

Saw this in Fresno and thought it was cute
I would like to say Happy New Year to all who have wondered and stumbled upon this site. I wish you blessings and a good 2014:

This little stress relief thing called Adventures in Weseland grew over 2013. It is amazing that people actually have read this. I had two of my blogs re-posted on to different sites by people-one was re-posted to an ESPN page which was cool.

I would really love to thank everybody for all their great comments and hope that you have a very safe New Year's Celebration. Also, I am very thankful for all the friends I have met in the past year through this little blog. It is a blessing to have met each one of you and to read your blogs.

So, Happy New Year and this will be the last post for 2013. Looking forward to posting soon in 2014.

The Dixon Fruit Market

Every time I drive up to Sacramento on I-80, I always make a stop at the Dixon Fruit Market. It is a little stand in Dixon right off the freeway. They have something there I always buy. On this last trip I decided to take a couple of pics:

Butter Nut and Spaghetti Squash
Yams
Walnuts
Peanuts
Blueberry Pretzels

Inside the Dixon Fruit Market

Some Apple Twists
Veggie Chips
Honey Sticks
And what I came for:

The ever famous Cowboy mix

There is more to buy than apples and apple products:

Kitchen Cinnamon
Love this bench
Applehill is a great way to spend the afternoon:

The Book Shop of Hayward

The Book Shop in Downtown Hayward has been a staple of downtown for over 50 years. I remember going there as a kid and I still go when I have a chance. It is a great place to relax, look for a new or used book and chat with the friendly staff. Oh, I have been meaning to tell people, I am on Instagram at csuhpat1:

The Book Shop
MMMM-Books
Some of the cool stuff there
Tons of books on every subject
A staff display-Love it, it is baseball
I try
And I only ended up buying one book on this trip:

It is about Vince Lombardi's first and only season as Head Coach of the Washington Redskins
The Book Shop is a great place to spend a little time. As I have been going there for years, it is a great place.
