Views From the Space Needle

If you go to Seattle, one of the main tourist attractions is the Space Needle. The Space Needle was built in 1962 for the World's Fair and has been part of the Seattle Skyline since then:

The views of Seattle from the Space Needle are amazing.

The Work of Ralph Chesse

Ralph Chesse was an artist whose work spanned almost all of the 20th century. Before 1950, mostly painted African-American figures recalling his boyhood in New Orleans. He also became a self-taught Marionettist. He carved puppets and enacted everything from Shakespeare to Marionette kits for kids. In 1953, he was asked to create a children's nature show and created The Wonderful World of Brother Buzz. That show became the longest running children's TV show in San Francisco history. It ran from 1953 to 1969:

And the Brother Buzz crew:

Ralph Chesse continued to do art until he passed away at age 91. In my view, he was a true art genius. The San Francisco Public Library did a great job in telling his story.

Alameda Rock-n-Roll Flea Market

On Saturday, I went to the Rock-n-Roll Flea Market in Alameda. It is always a fun time as it is held in a brewery that is unique:

The flea market always has interesting things for sale:

And the most interesting thing there was a three-day (used) ticket strip to Woodstock:

But I really love is the music. They bring in all of these different bands to play live:

I didn't buy too much:

Soraia (The band in the picture directly ahead) was nice enough to autograph their newest release for me

And this couple were the coolest couple there:

The Alameda Rock-n-Roll Flea Market is really cool and something that I enjoy every year.

Hiking at Coyote Hills

I went over to Coyote Hills in Fremont and did a little hiking:

I love hiking in the marsh land that they have there:

And there is a lot of wildlife around:

Coyote Hills is an amazing place to hike around.
