Skate on Art

I was over at Fort Mason in San Francisco and they had this thing called Skate on Art. They had a small roller skate rink up outside and you were allowed to skate on the art. Interesting idea (and no I did not skate-just took pics):

A pretty interesting experience. With my vertigo, there would be no way I could skate but it was nice to look at and it was groovy.

Book Passage of Corte Madera

I took a visit to one of my favorite books store that is Book Passage in Corte Madera. I may have written about it before but it is such a wonderful place that I need to write about it again:

It has a cafe where you can read and have an adult beverage or coffee or tea

And they always have author events going on. The night I went author R.O. Kwon was talking with C Pam Zhang about Kwon's book, The Incendiaries:

Book Passage of Corte Madera is one of the best bookstores in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Chase Center Block Party

I went to the Chase Center Block Party a couple of weeks ago. The Chase Center is the new home of the Golden St. Warriors.  After 47 years of playing in Oakland, the Warriors are moving back to San Francisco in this sparking new building. They didn't allow people inside but the outside of the place was amazing:

This is the huge video screen outside the center

They had these tennis courts up in honor of the U.S. Open finals
After touring the place, I needed a little refresher:

A pretty nice building for about $1.3 billion.

In My Travels

Just some random stuff I have seen or done in the last couple of months.

One of the things I did was go to Gunther's Ice Cream in Sacramento.  It is pretty famous and has been around for almost 80 years.

Some art:

And some street music:

And some wax figures:

Michael Phelps

Robin Williams

John Travolta
And always meeting new and interesting friends:
