The 50th California international Antiquarian Book Fair

Being a book lover, I went to the 50th California International Antiquarian Book Fair in Oakland. I must say that it was amazing, really amazing. Seeing all these high-class, high-priced book dealers and what they brought was super cool. I hope I did justice in my pics in laying out the scope of things (Note all of the books are First Editions unless noted):

By King Christian V-1756
The Duty of Servants-England 1685

The first printed version of Galileo's work

Printed about 15 years after his death
The first bound work of Geoffrey Chaucer's work. 135 years after his death.

And there were some interesting items besides books:

Original Flyer

An original Wile E. Coyote cartoon cell
A signed Helen Keller letter
Personal items belonging to Oskar Schindler from Schindler's list
The Antiquarian Book Fair was super cool. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Each booth got better than the last.

A Little of This, A Little of That

Just a bunch of random pics that don't fit any blog:

A 2015 Golden St. Warriors Championship ring
A robe worn by a drag queen from the legendary San Francisco North Beach Nightclub Finocchio's
Glass work by artist Dale Chihuly

The Tribune Tower in Oakland at night
The Ferry Building in San Francisco

Near City Hall in Oakland
The next two are artwork in stores seen along Fisherman's Wharf. They don't let you take pics inside the store but from the street is cool (I guess):

The rest is just street art I have seen:

Hope you have a great weekend.

Chinese New Year Festival

A couple of weekends ago I went to the Chinese New Year Festival in San Francisco's Chinatown. I didn't stay for the parade but the festival was super fun with tons of people:

Again, I hope everyone prospers in The Year of the Rooster:
