Springs Preserve: A Lost Blog

I had done other blogs on some of the stuff at Springs Preserve in Las Vegas but not of the actual grounds. This one slipped through the cracks. I guess because I am heading back to Las Vegas, I might as well share Springs Preserve. I guess you could call this a Lost Blog:

Plus they have some desert animals (all were alive):

Desert Cottontail
Sidewinder
Beaded Gila Monster
Great Basin Collared Lizard
Desert Spiny Lizard
Springs Preserve is a great place that off the strip. Who know as I go through my pics, how many other lost blogs I might have.

Music Monday: Fall for These Songs

Crossing Cultures By Belle Yang

Belle Yang is an author, graphic novelist, and children's book illustrator who translates her experiences as a Chinese-American immigrant into powerful artworks.I saw this exhibit at the California History Museum in Sacramento and thought it was cool (sorry if my phone wasn't perfect I was trying to shoot over and around people):

This was a really cool exhibit. I like how Yang took her experiences and turn them into great art.

Groovy:Needle to the Groove Records

I know I need to head to some bookstores but I also love records. I found this place in Fremont called Needle to the Groove Records. It is one of the better records stores I have seen:

Inside the store

And the stuff they have is too cool:

Going to use an old saying from back in the day : Needle to the Groove is just fresh:

Strolling Throiugh Historic Niles

Just a little stroll through what is known as historic Niles in Fremont, Ca. Niles was considered the first Hollywood back in the day and Charlie Chaplin shot five films there. Niles has turned into a little area that tries to remain the same. It has places to eat and a lot antique stores. You can spend a whole day just going in and out of the shops:

The library

The fire station

The funny thing is that I took pics of stuff inside the stores and lost my notes of what it is or what store I saw it in. Historic Niles is a great place to spend a little time:
