A's vs. Astros: 4-30-16

I forgot all about this. I went to O.Co Coliseum and saw the Oakland A's and Houston Astros play at the end of April. I always love going out to the yard:

The A's Marcus Semien
The Astros Dallas Keuchel getting some throwing in
Astros pitching coach Brent Strom

It was Sean Doolittle/Metallica Gnome Day:

But I just love enjoying being out at the yard:

O.Co Coliseum
The A's Jesse Hahn on the mound
The Astros All-Star Jose Altuve
The A's Khris Davis taking a swing
The Astros Carlos Garcia
Jesse Hahn pitching for Oakland and Houston's George Springer at bat
The A's John Axford throwing a pitch
And the A's win 2-0
I love being at the ballpark and it doesn't take much to make me happy:

A gnome, nachos, soda and an A's Media guide.

  1. I'm glad to see some baseball here for summertime fun. A cold beer, some snacks and the METS! Yup, Mets fan here. I have to, I live with a loyal fan no matter how bad they do, he is right there supporting them. Life is easier if you go along with it. Thanks for linking. I like your little gnome along side the nachos!

    1. That was the give-away for that game. Not a Mets fan.

    1. Take them out, even to a minor-league game. They will enjoy it.

  4. Nothing says summer like baseball! I've been to a game at the stadium of the "other team" there, but didn't get a cool gnome. Glad you joined us at #FridayFrivolity again!

  5. Now you are really making me homesick! I grew up in Fremont and would just jump on a train to go see a game. That was back in the Bash Brothers days. Great times...

    Thanks for sharing on #FridayFrivolity
